I joined The Galaxy Trust in 2015, during my time here, I have enjoyed working within Extended Services and the Administration roles. My current role, as School Business Manager, is extremely busy and varied, each day brings a different challenge. I work with a really nice team of supportive and friendly staff.
I have worked at Oakfield CP School since January 2014. I enjoy working in the office/reception where days are incredibly busy but no two days are ever the same. I am proud to be a part of such a friendly and supportive team.
My name is Steph, I started here in February 2016 and I am looking forward to taking part in all aspects of school life here at Oakfield. I enjoy going to the cinema, shopping and visiting new countries.
Nursery Admissions Officer
I started working at the Galaxy Trust in November 2017 after a three year break from work. I previously worked in Local Government for 10 years; working in a school office is very different, but in a positive way. As the Nursery Admissions Officer I work at Oakfield and Temple Hill, administering the Nursery allocations for both schools. I enjoy working with the office staff and Early Years Leaders who have all been very supportive in this newly created role. I have 2 children; my youngest is currently attending Oakfield Nursery and is enjoying it very much.
I joined Oakfield Primary Academy in February 2019 as an Administration Officer and look after Attendance and Finance. I have over 10 years administration experience within different industries – the last 2 years were in a local Secondary School. Outside of school I am a Mum to two boys, which mainly involves me being “Mum’s Taxi” to take them to football matches, where I stand on the side-lines (whatever the weather). I also enjoy going to the gym and socialising with friends and family.
I began my association with Oakfield in 1993 as a voluntary helper in both the Infant and Junior schools. In July 1996 I qualified as a Level 3 (RSA) Teaching Assistant and officially joined the Oakfield team in September in 1996.
In the past, I have worked on a 1:1 basis, with small and large groups and whole classes and have trained in ALS, FLS, Sounds-Write and Network Management. Since September 2009 my role at Oakfield is to manage the Network and provide technical support throughout the school.
