Term 6
The Good, The Bold and The Brave
Term 5 began with a continuation of our term 4 topic, learning all about different invaders to Britain such as the Romans, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
Champions for Change
With the introduction of Pupil Parliament, everyone was keen to be part of one of the four councils. A visit to the Mayor also gave us the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
Girl's Golf at Birchwood
The Great, The Bold and The Brave
Our term started with a performance to parents about the ancient Olympic games. During the term we found out about life in Ancient Greece. We also learned about the start of democracy and made some amazing Greek temples.
Making New Materials
We've had an exciting start to the term. A visit from Andrew Berry meant lots of fun experiments linked to our topic (we even made some delicious popping candy chocolate). To learn all about reversible and irreversible changes, we made muffins. There are still plenty of science investigations to carry out.
Being Human
In this term we learned all about the human body. Our Entry Point involved a treasure hunt for clues and we carried out various investigations finding out about our bones, muscles and joints. Of course other exciting events took place, such as the K-Nex challenge as well as the annual bauble painting.
Fairgrounds
What an exciting beginning to the year! We had our fantastic visit to Legoland to learn all about fairground rides and forces. To finish our topic, the children made their own rides. We also practised different circus skills.
