Welcome to our class page.! We are very excited about being in Year 2 and are all looking forward to learning so many things this year - including all about transport, using IT to take amazing photographs, all about the nightime and the circus is coming to town!

Well-Being Support Email

We are pleased to offer a secure and confidential outlet for your child to share some of their thoughts about their well-being. This will work very similarly to the ‘Worry Boxes’ presently in Years 1 to 6 classrooms where children can write their concerns. Simply by emailing, well.being@oakfield.kent.sch.uk your child can confidentially share any thoughts/feelings that are linked directly to their well-being. Emails will be checked daily by a senior teacher who will then offer them solutions.

Term 1 - From A to B

This term we have been learning all about how we can get from A to B using all kinds of transport!  We have looked at cars through the ages and taken a trip on the Titanic!  For our entry point we explored how we can travel and spent time in the playground using bikes, scooters and stilts!

Our trip found us at Chatham Dockyard, where we were lucky enough to go on board a submarine!  Take a look at some of our photos!

Term 2 - Say Cheese!

Term 2 found us learning all about cameras, taking pictures and using the internet.  We got to take lots of pictures, and be in a few too!  We know how to stay safe on the internet, and used lots of images to inspire our writing. Have a look at some of the pictures we have been using!

Term 3 - Super Humans

This term we are learning all about Super Humans.  We have already learnt about the different parts of the body and what they are used for.  we are looking forward to exploring how our brain helps us to use all of our senses to explore around us.  We are looking forward to having 2 young babies come and visit us and will be off to Leeds castle soon.  there we will be using our senses to explore the castle and hopefully find our way out of a tricky maze......
