Avast, me hearties! Welcome aboard the Clever Crew page.

The Clever Crew will be having a busy, yet exciting year.  Please check our page regularly to see our wonderful work.

Our topic for term 1 was 'Who am I?' where we learnt about our families, being healthy, our differences and similarities and our senses. We really enjoyed our first topic.

In term 2 our topic was 'Water World'. We learnt where water comes from, how it is used, what creatures live in water and much more. We had a pirate workshop which we all thoroughly enjoyed. 

In term 3 our topic was 'Magic Toy Maker'. We learnt about different types of toys, toys from the past, how toys move and lots more. We had great fun showing our favourite toys and ending the term with a Teddy Bear's picnic.

In term 4 our topic was ' Time Travellers'. We enjoyed learning about British History. We focused on World War II, Victorian times, Tudor Times and Roman Times. We really loved our trip to Leeds Castle.

In term 5 our topic is 'Flowers and Insects'. We will be learning about types of insects, have a visit from a bee keeper, visit Kent Life and look at different plants and animals and learn about different plants.

Well-Being Support Email

We are pleased to offer a secure and confidential outlet for your child to share some of their thoughts about their well-being. This will work very similarly to the ‘Worry Boxes’ presently in Years 1 to 6 classrooms where children can write their concerns. Simply by emailing, well.being@oakfield.kent.sch.uk your child can confidentially share any thoughts/feelings that are linked directly to their well-being. Emails will be checked daily by a senior teacher who will then offer them solutions.
