Oakfield Primary Academy is a large, three-form entry school with over 700 pupils. We have a Nursery, where children can start from 3 years old.
Our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) caters for pupils with an EHCP and a primary need of ASD; however, places are only allocated by Kent.
Our school serves a large residential catchment area. 28 different languages are spoken by our children who come from diverse backgrounds. We have over 25% of children who are eligible for Free School Meals.
We provide in-house wrap around care provision.
The school is organised into three main sections:
We are fortunate in having a spacious and well-maintained site. Classrooms have access to laptops, iPads and an interactive whiteboard.
Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 have extensive outdoor classroom areas.
Two large playgrounds are supplemented by a playing/sports field, and a pond area with an allotment. The latter serves as an environmental study area for classes.
Parents and visitors must access the site through the main school entrance and report to the Office. Appointments to speak to teachers can be made at the Office.
All infant children must be collected by a known, trusted adult. Children will NOT be allowed to be collected by anybody who is a stranger to us. Please use your child’s reading record, Class Dojo or inform the Office if someone different will be picking up your child.
